The ICR conference on social media and antisemitism has been awarded a grant by the European Association for Jewish Studies. The conference takes places on 5-6 November 2019, and includes a civil society workshop for those who work to combat antisemitism.
“The political controversy over antisemitism continues to escalate internationally. The social media revolution is at its heart. However, scholars are yet to study systematically what is new, if anything. We need to examine this question in relation to the history of media innovation and prejudice over the centuries. This is the aim of the conference, and it is wonderful to be supported by Europe’s academic association for Jewish Studies, a hugely important and intellectually rich body.”
