Sue Holt is the MA Social Work Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk. She is a member of BASW, and  a qualified and registered social worker and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Sue specialised in statutory child care/protection/fostering and adoption work and continues to undertake assessments within the fostering arena. She has practised and taught in England for many years, and has a particular interest in the formation of professional judgement, how pedagogical strategies support the integration of theory and practice in order to develop student’s professional judgement and effectively prepare students for the challenging terrain of professional practice(s). Sue has also presented at both national and international teaching events and conferences.
