We had a marvellous evening on 26th November this year, the first of the Fiction Writers Network practice as research events for this academic year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former EHU Creative Writing lecturer Rodge Glass joined us as part of his huge tour for his memoir Joshua In The Sky to read and take part in a Q&A session, which was the second half of the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first half saw FiN members Dr Julia Clayton, Dr John Rutter and current creative writing lecturer and convenor of the Edge Hill Prize Sarah Schofield read their own works inspired by real life or as part of their own memoir writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a really marvellous evening, with some of our fantastic students coming along, and all proceeds from Rodge’s book sales went to the charity started in his nephew’s memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please look out for our next event at EHU Arts Centre on Wednesday 19th February 2025 when the winner of the 2023\/24 Edge Hill Short Story Prize Bernie McGill will be reading, before the Edge Hill Prize ceremony at the London Review Bookshop on 20th February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
