After the fantastic event at EHU Arts Centre on Tuesday 17th with Tessa Hadley, Ailsa Cox, Carys Bray and Julia Clayton, we have some more great news.

Andrea Ashworth’s (AJ Ashworth) second collection Maybe the Birds was longlisted for the British Science Fiction Association Awards longlist last month. The prize has been running since 1970 and seeks to recognise works in the science fiction genre. Ashworth’s collection was published by Gold SF/Goldsmiths Press in October last year and features 14 stories, which explore speculative as well as realist worlds.

Elizabeth Baines also has a new collection coming out – Five Different Stories About One Thing. The publication date is 26th March. A mini-collection of stories from Confingo, with artwork by the artist Laura Scott. A ghost story, a love story, crime, sf and a postmodern story – all linked by their characters and a shared past trauma.

And more exciting publication news as Ailsa Cox’s co-authored book on Alice Munro is now available to pre-order in paperback. There is also a 30% discount code that she has shared with us: PAPER30

Finally, we are welcoming a new member to the group, Mike Hollows, a historical and sci-fi novelist as well as writing for War Hammer games. Welcome Mike!
