Kim Wiltshire has also had a short story published on the online literary journal Funny Pearls. Titled ‘Triple the price of a fruitcake’ it is a reworking of a monologue she was commissioned to write by the Royal Exchange over a decade ago – but Kim felt there was more to explore in the themes of marriage and names. You can read the story here: https://funnypearls.com/2026/01/fruit-cake-wiltshire/
Kim’s short ten minute play, We Move On was also one of the ten winners for Chesil Theatre’s Take Ten competition and will be performed between Feb 27th and March 1st this year.
Finally for this mini update, our very own Sarah Schofield will be running a workshop in February on The Subtle Art of Short Fiction following her chapter in Fly on the Wall’s new publication of the same name – check it out here but I think slots are filling up!
