That\u2019s what sets it apart from the opening two songs, and the indigenous Greek pop vibes. Interesting enough to get through if the staging is good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>04 Switzerland <em>The Code<\/em> – Nemo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Nemo - The Code | Switzerland ?? | Official Music Video | Eurovision 2024\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kiGDvM14Kwg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, yeah \u2013 familiar vibes here too, but there are enough transitions in the song with the vocal, rapping and operatic vocal stylings to make it stand out. I think this and Croatia overlap in some ways. It\u2019s a bit of a bonkers song (the\u00a0<em>Cha Cha Cha\u00a0<\/em>influence is in there, right?), but with at least three hooks it\u2019s quite clever. I\u2019m really looking forward to the performance on stage tonight (Thursday). Yes, towards then end we get to the part when we can intuitively sing\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no there’s no limit<br>No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no there’s no limit<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another bonkers song, and deliciously retro pop vibes to finish with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s it. It feels like there are more songs in this semi-final that need to benefit from interesting staging to lift them. All three Big 6 songs tonight are good, so overall, for me, it\u2019s five out of six – sorry Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And for this semi-final, there are two things going on: a lot of retro\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>recycled vibes to the songs; and a few songs might cancel each other out.
