I&#8217;ve championed it from the start, and I&#8217;m not going to stop now &#8211; but Bosnia and Iceland will run it close.\u00a0 We might also underestimate what a star Sakis is in Greece. My flatmate this week, Apostolos, went back for second helpings at the second rehearsal on Wednesday &#8211; as they&#8217;re all so behind the song now. Don&#8217;t miss it &#8211; you promise?!<\/p>\n<p>In brief: views for the second semi-final (the &#8216;napkin of doom&#8217; is on the way!):<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ireland<\/strong>:<strong> <\/strong>\u00a0a good effort that I would like to see qualify.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-377\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/eurovision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2009\/05\/thur-semi-dress-2-ire.jpg\" alt=\"thur-semi-dress-2-ire\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/eurovision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2009\/05\/thur-semi-dress-2-ire.jpg 448w, https:\/\/blogs.edgehill.ac.uk\/eurovision\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2009\/05\/thur-semi-dress-2-ire-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serbia<\/strong>: This is the one to refresh the drinks and pass round the nibbles!\u00a0 It&#8217;s like listening to a couple having an argument!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Norway<\/strong>: I still can&#8217;t see how this is the almost certian fave to win.
