Phil Jackson is Associate Head of English and Creative Arts at Edge Hill University, where he has worked since 1992. A lifelong fan of the Eurovision Song Contest, Phil has blogged since 2008 when he first attended the Contest in Belgrade, Serbia.
Phil has attended nine Contests in the host countries between 2008 to 2023, and has been accredited by the BBC and the European Broadcasting Union.
Last year, Phil was back on the blog for the first time since 2019, celebrating a home Eurovision and delighted that it was taking place locally in Liverpool.
This year he is re-energised and ready for ESC2024!
