8th Learning and Teaching Symposium

Wednesday 4th March, 13:00-17:00 (Lunch from 12 noon)
Ormskirk Campus

We would like to invite you to attend the 8th Learning and Teaching Symposium hosted by the Centre for Learning and Teaching Research. The aim of the symposium is to provide an opportunity for colleagues to discuss current ideas in learning and teaching research, with a view to encouraging the development of these discussions into presentations for the Annual Conference or for the ongoing Seminar Series and, beyond that, into papers for publication.

This is also the first call for proposals for this event. Please follow this guidance if submitting a proposal for this event.
Your submission should contain information under the following headings:
* Name, Role and Faculty/Department/Unit
* Session title and description (100 words max)
* Description of how the session meets the aims of the symposium outlined above (50 words max)
* 4 key questions for discussion by participants

Sessions will be 40 minutes long, with 20 minutes for your material and 20 minutes for Q&A.

I am the Research Development Officer in the CLTR (Centre for Learning & Teaching Research) where I have worked part-time since January 2005. In this role I develop activities and resources to encourage and support colleagues across the institution to research their pedagogic theory and practice.
