The overarching aim of this annual event is a commitment to development and innovation in learning and teaching. This year’s conference “Application, Integration and Discovery: Researching Learning & Teaching in the Disciplines” focuses on four key themes:
(1) the research-teaching nexus;
(2) first year of undergraduate study;
(3) postgraduate learning in the disciplines;
(4) academic engagement.
Space will also be allocated to any work in progress that broadly fits the main thrust of the conference – application, integration and discovery.
This event is open to colleagues from the higher education sector, both nationally and internationally, as well as our own academic and academic related colleagues throughout the University and partner institutions. Indeed, we are particularly keen to encourage Edge Hill University staff to use the conference as an opportunity to disseminate developments in their learning, teaching and assessment practice, and to share and discuss ideas, evidence and learning about pedagogy within our own University.
Registration and Fees
The conference is free of charge to Edge Hill staff. Registration details will be available at on the conference website http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/cltr/Events/Conference.htm#reg from Tuesday 25th November.
This conference is part of a three-day series, preceded on Tuesday 2nd June by the 2nd conference of the Widening Participation Research Centre http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/wpresearch/index.htm and followed on Thursday 4th June by the 4th SOLSTICE conference http://www.edgehill.ac.uk/solstice/
