We recently discussed in Faculty Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee the question of whether an academic, with very limited time, should be spending their precious minutes on blogging or on preparing a traditional journal article for submission to peer review. The opinions expressed were generally in favour of blogging! That being the case, and feeling slightly chastised, I’ve finally initiated Identblog – the blog of the Centre for Learner Identity Studies. So the question now goes out to a wider audience. To blog or to submit to conventional journal peer review? And is it a cop out to reply “both, of course”?
