Tonight (or this morning) I am far from impressed. So I have decided to bring you an early morning quick tip… If there’s something happening in a society that you belong to that you don’t like, make your voice heard and change it! It doesn’t matter whether or not you have a title, if you’re part of a society then you have the right to a say in how it operates.
Democracy ftw. (For the win, less interweb fluent readers)
Also, I have a presentation in 6 hours. Eep.
Double, double, toil and trouble:
Fire, burn; and, cauldron, bubble.
I am currently re-writing an assignment on the power of witches! Exciting!
So it’s been a hectic few weeks back, hence the lack of blog… But things are definitely looking up since this semester it’s an end to the Gender Studies modules and off to pastures new with Writing the Supernatural and Crime Fiction. One two many comments about Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr for a Literature group cropped up during a discussion on Sherlock Holmes but at least no one has mentioned the frankly horrifying new set of books by the truely awful writer Anthony Horowitz.
In other exciting news, my dissertation ideas have been forced into four distinct themes with the help of one of our wonderful part-time tutors here at Edge Hill, and my personal tutor has returned from sabbatical so they have been passed over to him for inspection! He has been missed, if you do chose to continue your education at Edge Hill then you will quickly realise that the Head of First Year is also the darling of the department and the light of his students lives. And he’s been gone for a whole semester, how did we ever survive?
In less happy news, my picture for this is shocking and it looks like there’s a hole in my fringe because of the light. Not impressed.
It’s travel back to uni day! This is an even more joyous day than travel home from uni day, if for a different reason… Travel home from uni day is wonderful because you don’t have to worry about buying food with your increasingly stretched budget, travel back to uni day is wonderful because by now you’re getting withdrawal symptoms from whichever crazy fellow student you spend the most time with!
If I don’t hear someone singing the comical songs from youtube soon I might go even madder… Still, here are some pretties to ward of the longing for dysfunctional uni life:
What’s that pretties? You herald the coming of something even more exciting than Crime Fiction and Writing the Supernatural modules? Well then, I guess I should keep an eye out for the release date of Guild Wars 2 in order to plan a week free of uni work, to honour of it’s arrival!
Yes, there are games coming out next year that I’m so excited for I’m talking to the artwork. Maybe being back at Edge Hill will help refocus my brain! Speaking of which…
I need to go pack, until next time chipmunks!
