Hi!

As I am pretty new to writing blogs I thought the first one should be an ‘about me’ blog. So ill start with the basics, my names Stephanie Hartley, I am 18years old although on Thursday I’ll be turning 19. I am from Burnley and I currently live on campus in forest court. I study BA Hons History, which includes four modules, one based on the Medieval World, one based on the Nineteenth Century, one based on the Twentieth Century and finally one based on the general skills for Historians. I thoroughly enjoy my course and have learnt so much from each of my modules in just a couple of months. After completing the history degree, I am hoping to carry out a PGCE allowing me to teach history.

I have really enjoyed my experience here at Edge Hill so far. I have made so many new friends on my course and with the girls I live with too. Fresher’s week is definitely worth the wait for, the week was jammed with various events to cater for everyone’s interests, my favourite part was the night out to Nation night club in Liverpool also fresher’s fair is great for the freebies too!

I am really looking forward to Christmas, me and the girls I live with have organised a secret santa something cheap and cheerful we also cooked a Christmas meal with some boys who live off campus, it was really good to sit down and enjoy a bit of festive spirit before we all go back home. Then we settled down to watch the x factor final, and although I thought Olly was great Joe had to win it! Anyways I best be off, Christmas presents to wrap! Let me know how your Christmas goes!
