Nurse and former Edge Hill University student Vicky Horsley has a simple message for her brother – ‘thanks for saving my life’.
The 28-year-old was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, a rare condition where the bone marrow fails to produce healthy blood cells. But after a bone marrow transplant in July courtesy of brother Paul she is now on the road to recovery – and convinced that what she’s been through has only made her stronger.
