Third Sector Skills Event: Managing Change in the Urban and Rural Economies

Posted by CLPS - 14/12/09 at 10:12 pm

Members of the CLPS team attended the Third Sector Skills Event at Turf Moor Enterprise Haven, Burnley Football Club to give ‘taster’ learning sessions from the forthcoming PG Cert in Voluntary and Third Sector Management.  The sessions focused on managing people and the ‘psychological contract’ and what it could mean for managers, paid employees and volunteers.

The popular and lively sessions explored various aspects such as clashes, managing friends, unhappiness at work and the reasons, reliance on volunteers, the scale of projects and the different management skills required, overcoming barriers and the impacts that government policies and targets can have on staffing levels.

If you are interested in registering for the PG Cert or any of the modules as Continued Professional Development please contact the Lancashire Learning Consortium at info@llccic.org.uk.
