Summer Camp Recruitment Fairs
With each new year comes new opportunities to work abroad during the summer, and this year is no different.
Camp Leaders have their fair on Saturday 22nd January
Camp America have their fair on Thursday 27th January
Whether you have started your application or not, get yourself along to the recruitment days for the best chance at securing your place at a summer camp. I went without any knowledge of them at all, just to get some information and I walked out 5 hours later with a place. So if you are yet to apply, half way through, or waiting ot be placed get yourself down there for the chance to meet the directors of the camps you could be working for this summer!
CAREERS FAIR (Sporting Edge, 8th February)
It’s that time of year again, Yes, We’re holding our annual Careers Fair to give you the opportuity to meet tons of employers waiting to hire you. From part time and casual work, to volunteering opportunities, to all the hottest Graduate Opportunities.
Representatives from Everton FC, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, NSG Pilkington, Chartered Institute of Marketing, John Cunningham & Associates Solicitors and HMP Preston (Prison). These are just a few of the confirmed stands – come along if you are looking for graduate jobs or careers advice, a part time job, volunteering opportunities to get relevant experience and skills, or if you are looking for a summer job. Don’t miss out!
1st Feb Visitors on campus
G4S are looking for Stewards for the upcoming Grand National as well as working at other catering and hospitality events they hold throughout the year.
Cancer Research are looking for volunteers to get involved in helping to manage their race for life campaign.
Lucky for you guys both of these organisations will be on campus for you to speak to. Contact the Careers Centre for more information.
Volunteering Fair (Business School, 8th March)
The fair will be held between 11am and 2pm and the best part is you get to bring along your organisation, maybe even represent it yourself!
SO…If you volunteer at an organisation that you would like everyone else to know about and get involved in then please invite them to come along to set up a stand for the day. If they can’t attend but you can then we can arrange that too! Please get in touch with Hesther at the Careers Centre if you’d like to get involved.
For those of you looking for volunteering opportunities this could be the perfect chance to meet some fantastic organisations and to get involved. So come along to the Business School between 11am and 2pm on the 8th March!
