2nd year course choosing time..
8 03 2010It is now the second week in March and although we don’t start our second year till nearly the end of September we have meetings arranged for this week about what we want to do in our second year. For my course business management we can choose to specialise in a specific subject such as marketing, human resources, accounting etc or simply choose to cover everything next year.
As I want to be a business woman when I am older and not necessarily specialise in anything specific, I will always been on the path of carrying on just doing business management as an overall subject. However tomorrow (Tuesday 9th) we have got a meeting in Hale Hall about our courses and what we want to do or look at in the future.
The meeting is also to help me and others choose whether or not I want to do a placement in the summer either this year or next and also if I wanted to do a year placement instead in my 3rd year to make it a 4 year sandwich course. From starting university I have always considered doing a 4 year sandwich course and would look at getting a job near my hometown which would be near Birmingham. To also add to the stress if I wanted this sandwich year placement it would mean me looking at my placement all summer and have made a decision by October this year with arrangements made and what exactly I’m doing and where.
So I have to say this week may not be the most important week but it is very important as it is to do with my future and what exactly I am going to be doing when it comes to my course.
